Cruising Group Update

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedintumblrmailThe cruising group’s winter programme concluded on Thursday 3rd of April with a talk on Weather at sea by Willemien Van Hoeve (see below). Frank Cassidy’s talk on his involvement in the ARC race was so popular that we had to run it twice. Equally successful was the talk by Barbara & Frank Fitzgibbon on their two year sail around the world. Ray Marshall organised a very successful supper / seminar on Chartering overseas with presentations by Barry Mc Neany and Eamon Markey on Greece, Croatia & the Caribbean. Now that the boats are once again in the water, Cruising Group Members are discussing plans for the season. Our first organised sail (in conjunction with the Cruising Association of Ireland) is to Holyhead on the 31st May and returning on Monday 1st June (bank holiday). “Koala” and possibly two or three other NYC boats are going to France on the 13th June for two weeks. The plan is to get to The Morbihan by 18th June and spend about a week there. We expect to announce a number of shorter cruises (Arklow, Malahide, Dublin) later. Details will be posted on www.nyc.ie . Brendan O’Regan NYC- Cruising Group
