Padraic Conneely’s Tribute Dinner

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedintumblrmail13th May 2011 This was a fitting tribute to a brilliant Manager of the National Yacht Club. The dinner was attended by those members lucky enough to have got a booking for what turned out to be another great NYC club event. Padraic was accompanied by his wife Noreen and family. Past Commodore, Con Murphy was MC for the night that started with a champagne reception in the the JB Room to the accompaniment of the Neptune Trio, classical trio. Grace before meals was said by Past Commodore, Michael Horgan. An excellent meal was prepared by our Head Chef, Cormac Healy with the main course being the sumptuous NYC Beef Wellington. The first toast to Ireland was proposed  by Roger Bannon who spoke of Padraic’s early years in the the Club. The toast to the NYC was proposed by Past Commodore, Peter Ryan, who has worked closely with Padraic for the last six years. The toast to Padraic Conneely was proposed by the Commodore of the National Yacht Club, Paul Barrington. After this toast several presentations were made including one from the Members of the NYC, the Ladies Lunch Committee, the Bridge Committee and from the Royal Alfred Yacht Club. Padraic then made his response. This was truly one of the best nights that have been hosted by the NYC. Tribute dinner menu Photographs by Chester:
