Annalise Receives a Great Welcome at NYC

Facebooktwittergoogle_plusredditpinterestlinkedintumblrmailAnnalise Murphy received a rousing reception at her welcome home party in the National YC following her return on Thursday 22nd December from a very successful 2011 Perth World Championships. Speakers, NYC Commodore, Paul Barrington, ISA President, Niamh Mc Cutcheon and Olympic steering group chairman Colm Barrington congratulated Annalise on her exciting results over the past year and thanked her coach Rory Fitzpatrick and her family and many supporters. Over 200 guests attended the party (ably organised by Helen Cooney and Ruth Shanahan) including Club Commodores and dignitaries, supporters from across the Dun Laoghaire waterfront, sailing friends from throughout Ireland – Ben, Rory & Finn Lynch, Philip & Simon Doran, Barry Mc Cartin, Alyson Rumble and Ben Scallan to name just a few, NYC Junior sailors and her family. After a short Christmas break, Annalise heads off to Miami in January for more training and the first ISAF World Cup event of 2012, the Rolex Miami OCR. Photographs by Chester:
