ISORA Race 1 – Results

Saturday 28th April

Despite strong north-easterly winds, 18 boats came to the start line from an entry list of 23 at 10.00. The race run in conjunction with the Royal Alfred Yacht Club was started by RAYC Commodore, Barry MacNeaney. The 42 mile course took the fleet around South Burford and against the tide to North India. In the very ” lumpy” seas around Codling Bank the fleet beat out to East Codling before turning to the finish. The overall winner was J109, “Joker 2″. The winner of the Silver fleet was “Desert Star”. Full details are attached below. The next race is on Saturday 5th May, the 60 mile race from Dun Laoghaire to Holyhead. We are looking forward to having some new boats to ISORA in this race. We hope to have a get together in Holyhead after the race. Entries for the race or ISORA series are still very welcome and can also be made online.
