Dear all,

As you all know lift out takes place shortly so you need to remove your boats ASAP.  Following that we will be starting our winter coaching running for six weeks.

It is open to Lasers, Toppers, Optimists, 420s and Fevas.  We have put a lot of preparation and planning into our winter coaching and are pleased to confirm that we have managed to secure and group of very experienced coaches right across the fleets which we anticipate will bring some invaluable experience to the group.

Dates for coaching as follows:

• Saturday 20th & 27th October
• Sunday 11th, 18th, 22nd, 29th November
• Sunday 2nd December

The emphasis for coaching will be very much on all aspects of racing skills and coaching is available to all who have completed their basic skills level during the summer.

In the larger fleets the sailors will be placed in groups according to their experience.  The first two sessions are on a Saturday in order to accommodate Flying Fifteen Frostbite sailing.  As you may know space on the hard is very restricted this year as we do not have use of the Carlisle Pier.

Each session will begin at 12.30 sharp and the sailor is expected to be fed, changed and rigged by that time.  Club Toppers, Fevas and Optimists are all available for charter using this boat charter application form

If your child would like to sail/charter a Feva but does not have a partner we will do our best to match up crews.  We also have a number of members who have just bought 420s and are looking for crew so please, if you would like to sail a two handed boat apply for the coaching and give you details to the office.

Once again we are asking that all parents would volunteer at least once during the coaching sessions for slip duty.

PLEASE APPLY BEFORE 15TH OCTOBER, as it is crucial for us to have a definite idea of numbers so we can have the correct ratio of coaches to sailors.

Junior Dinner & Prize-giving

This year the junior dinner and prize-giving will be held as part of the Rear Commodores Christmas Dinner on Saturday 1st December.  All parents and juniors are very welcome to what promises to be a great night to start off the Christmas celebrations!  Please be sure to mark it in your diary.
