NYC member Nell Staunton, competing in the Laser Radial class at Youth World Sailing Championships in Texas this week has just finished the event in 8th Place!

A fantastic result competing against 46 of the best female Laser Radial sailors in the world she never dropped out of the top 10. The conditions in Texas were tough with strong winds for 4 of the 5 days of the event.

Great Success for the NYC Sailors in the 2018 Optimist French Nationals
Many congratulations to Fiachra McDonnell of NYC and the Irish IDT France Team who won the Optimist French Nationals after a fantastic week of sailing against some of the best sailors in Europe in the 200 sailor event.  Many congratulations also to fellow NYC and IDT Team France sailor Clementine van Steenberge who won best girl at the event, at only 11 years of age.

Congratulations also to NYC sailor Rocco Wright who finished 19th place overall. This was achieved despite very shifty and challenging conditions securing Irelands best results ever in this event!

Many congratulations to all the sailors on this great achievement.
