Topper Spring 2018 Coaching Programme

We have a comprehensive and exciting training programme for both confirmed and novice Topper sailors organised in 3 modules:
Module 1: Performance Clinics
Module 2: Coaching sessions for the Topper Performance Group
Module 3: Training on Toppers as part of our Junior Sunday afternoons training programme with our local coaches starting in February.

Junior safety Talk at the NYC Sunday 4th February

We are running a talk on

Beach-master Training and an explanation of the junior coaching safety protocol, on Sunday 4th February at 3pm in the NYC.

We encourage anyone involved with our junior section to attend, as it would be of great benefit to them. 

Has There Been an ‘Annalise Effect’ in Irish Sailing?

With every great win comes a ripple effect. Annalise Murphy’s silver medal in sailing at the Rio Olympics in 2016 was good news for the country, for sport, and the sailing community in general. But how has the bounce been felt one year on?

President of Irish Sailing, Jack Roy commented: “it’s interesting to look at the figures to see what impact, if any, Annalise’s medal has had on increasing awareness of sailing or attracting new people to our sport. We know that Olympic medals increase people’s enthusiasm for trying out a new sport, boxing and rowing being prime examples and it appears from our figures at the end of 2017 that there certainly has been a very positive effect that can be attributed to Annalise’s success in Rio”

DBSC Spring Chicken Series 2018

Sunday 4th February – Sunday 11th March 2018 

A series of six races to be held on Sunday mornings from 4th February to 11th March organised by Dublin Bay Sailing Club. Entry fee is €60.00 – including temporary membership of D.B.S.C. and National Y.C.  After sailing, food will be available to competitors in the National Y.C.

NYC/RSGYC 420 Spring Training Programme

We will hold 420 Training sessions with our local coaches on the following Sundays: February 4th, February 25th, March 4th, March 11th, March 18th, March 25th.
