These courses are for anyone with an interest in the wonderful world of event management. You have the choice of choosing to develop your skills in 5 different disciplines:

National Powerboat Certificate Course â April 2023
Due to popular demand!
The National Yacht Club is organising a âNational Powerboat Certificateâ course open to all over 16s.
The course is held over 2 evenings and a full day
6-10pm on April 26th and 27th and then 9am-4pm on the 29th
The course is limited to 12 participants on a first come first served basis
Cost: âŹ220pp
(Please be aware that we need to have a ratio of 1 instructor for 3 candidates and that the pricing is only covering costs so we need groups of 3, 6, 9 or 12 candidates)
The National Maritime Museum is looking for volunteers…open night next Friday March 31st at 7pm
The National Maritime Museum of Ireland have approached the NYC to ask if any of our members would be interested in supporting them.
The Museum is a Charitable Trust operated by volunteers and they are seeking people with a love of Ireland's Maritime Heritage to help continue their work.
There is an open night next Friday March 31st at 7pm In the Mariners Church (beside the Lexicon). There will be a brief talk about the value of Museums By Lesley-Ann Hayden of The Heritage Council.

NYC Adult Sailing Courses – Course 1 – May 2023
We believe sailing is a wonderful gift in life. If you wish for it to be a part of yours or to improve your existing skills to enjoy it more or to learn so as to enjoy the sport with your Junior Sailor(s) â NYC Adult Sail Training can provide the opportunity.
We are running Adult Sailing courses for members and non-members alike to cover the basics, more complex stuff and racing roles.
Registration is now open for Course 1 - 4 Sundays half-days in May!

Dun Laoghaire Flying Fifteen High Performance Training Course – May 2023

Take some of the luck out of your sailing this season with a dedicated High Performance Sailing Course run by Thomas Chaix, the NYC's very own high performance coach.
The course will run in two parallel strands for three weeks and finish up with a combined final race for all participants.
All sessions will involve video recording with debriefs after each session.
Max. participants: 12 boats per strand allocated on a first come first served basis.
