Call for Volunteers 2016!

Have you noticed the new permanent little orange tab on the left-hand side of the Club’s homepage?

We’re are calling on all willing members to let us know they are there to help!
We need lots of volunteers to run the events we do in the Club…from Adult Sail Training to Junior events and training sessions to Racing events hosted by the Club.

It is a great way to get involved in your Club and to get to know other members.  There are many roles in both junior section and Club events, and the junior sailors love to see their parents involved in their sport!

So don’t hesitate! Click on the orange tab on the website or in the newsletter and fill up a role!

Thanking you all in advance on behalf of all the existing volunteers running junior training, junior events, adult training, racing events etc etc etc…

Club lift-in in 360 video…as if you were there

Thanks to Stuart Masterson for setting up his amazing 360 camera to record the lift-in. Unfortunately, due to technical problems, setting up the crane took most of the recording time and we are left with only about 1m30s of lifting footage…still, very impressive technology! See it in action here

New Yellow Jersey For Flying Fifteen Fleet…

A new initiative has been introduced for the 2016 season by the Dun Laoghaire Flying Fifteens.  In each race, the lead boat in the series will fly a yellow spinnaker, just like the Yellow Jersey in the Tour de France Cycle Race.

Replacement Launch ‘Anne’ ready for service

Our new launch ‘Anne’ has been delivered from Malahide Marina and Boatyard after more than skin deep cosmetic surgery! As you can see in the post gallery, she now looks “as new” and will see her first day in service on lift-in day!
