Cruising Group General Meeting & Supper
Dear members,
The first general meeting of the revived cruising group will take place at the National Yacht Club at 18.30 in the National Yacht Club on Thursday 1st of February.
Everybody is welcome.
The proposed agenda is as follows:
Training courses
16th of March 2024: Boat show, involving presentation on safety at sea by Viking marine, solace marine and INLI,
5th /6th of May 2024: sail in company to Greystones.
September 2024: potential sail in company to the Isle of Man.
Any other business
This will be immediately followed by a sailing supper at 20.00. Hopefully, it will be an excellent occasion to socialize.
There will be 3 speakers, who will briefly present a passage to the Azores (frank Cassidy), attack by orca (Andrew Collins) and rescue at sea by the RNLI (Damien Payne).
We would really appreciate your support for both events, as this is the first occasion when there will be a formal meeting by the Group, and we are keen to build consensus as to potential activities.

The award is a recognition of the fantastic work put together into developing Sailing at all levels (Juniors, Teenagers, Adults, Women on the Water - both in terms of training and racing at all levels) by the Club's Committee, Staff and Volunteers not only over the last year but also since the end of the Covid pandemic!
