Weather conditions were tricky on Saturday and despite two attempts out on the water, racing for Main Fleet was abandoned mid-race due to strong winds and fog. Day 2 got off to an earlier, rainy start but the clouds soon cleared for a scorching Sunday of sailing in glorious Dunmore East. Three races were completed on Sunday in the nick of time and all NYC sailors did very well. In Senior Gold Fleet, Hugh Turvey took 1st Irish and 2nd overall, Conor Gorman came in 4th place Senior Gold. Well done also to Zoe Hall and Lauren O’Callaghan in Senior Fleet. In Junior Gold Fleet Luke Turvey took 2nd place, followed by Sam Ledoux in 4th place. Edward Dempsey, Conor Staunton, Billy McCarthy, Ella Dempsey and Rachel Flood sailed extremely well representing NYC in Junior Fleet. Regatta fleet managed to hold races on both Saturday and Sunday with first place going to Des Turvey and Kate Flood sailing very well too. Many thanks to Waterford sailing Club for their warm welcome, especially the amazing weather and wonderful BBQs. Thanks also to coaches Cian Mollen, Adam Hyland, Daan from 8-days a week and Doug Elmes who travelled to Waterford to work with the sailors from the three Dun Laoghaire clubs. For full results see
